4. Naming and Mythological Significance
The municipality is named after the famous religious site 'Arjundhara Jaleshwor Dham'. According to Mahabharata mythology, it is believed that Arjun struck the earth with an arrow to produce water for thirsty cows, leading to the name 'Arjundhara'.
5. Economic and Natural Resources
Agriculture: Cash crops such as tea, betel nut, coconut, black pepper, and rubber; high potential for paddy, wheat, maize, and vegetable farming.
Major Rivers: Biring, Tangting, Nete, and Sukhani (sources of internal revenue through stone, gravel, and sand).
Tourism: Sahakale Waterfall (Ward No. 2), Arjundhara Dham, and the historic Sanischare Bazaar.
